One of poker’s most promising young stars has set up his own website that will give his fans an insight into his day-to-day lifestyle and poker tactics.
The life of a modern poker pro appears to be so far removed from the average poker player these days. The 5 star hotels, the constant globetrotting, the barrels of money up for grabs- all these combined create the image of a superstar singer or athlete rather than someone who plays cards for a living.
But this is the reality in 2012. Top poker pros and casino online pundits are superstars. They can attract huge amounts of money just to wear a branded cap or a hoodie.
Jake Cody, the youngest winner of the Triple Crown – successes in the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour and the European Poker Tour – will write intimate posts on a new website, JakeCodyPoker.com, for his fans to follow.
Hand histories, tournament coverage and general thoughts will be posted by Cody, who has earned over £2 million in live tournament winnings already.
Cody writes: “I’ve had a ridiculous few years with poker and achieved more than I thought was possible. I like to think that I haven’t changed and that I’m still the same person I was back then. However my life has changed, I’m very lucky.”
Cody completed his Triple Crown in June last year when he won Event 2 ($25,000 buy in Heads up No Limit Hold’em Championship) at the WSOP, pocketing over $850,000. In 2010 he won his first EPT event in Deauville, winning a whopping $1.2 million.
Jake Cody has had a meteoric rise in the world of poker. Now with this new website, everyone will be able to join him on his journey to the top of the poker rankings.
