1. About PokerDIY

PokerDIY is a hobby website run by an individual. In these terms, “PokerDIY”, “we” and “us” mean that individual in their role as the site operator.

These terms cover the website, game listings, search and maps, accounts, comments, forums, questions and member messaging. The site helps people find and discuss poker games and related information.

PokerDIY does not operate the games listed by members, accept wagers, hold player funds, book seats or guarantee admission. Arrangements to attend or host a game are made between the people involved.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account or use member features. You must also meet any higher age requirement and other restrictions that apply to a particular game in its location. This is a use requirement; PokerDIY does not perform identity or age checks on every member.

Use an email address you control, keep your account information accurate and protect your sign-in codes and connected sign-in accounts. Do not impersonate another person, share access to private records or attempt to claim someone else’s historical account or listing. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Listings and attending games

Listing on PokerDIY is always free. You must be logged in with a verified email address to create or edit a listing.

If you list a game, you must have permission to represent it and keep its location, schedule, costs, format, contact details and eligibility information accurate. Update or remove details when the game changes or ends. You are responsible for meeting the laws, permissions and venue requirements that apply where the game takes place.

Before attending, confirm the details with the host and make your own assessment of the venue, people, costs and local rules. Old listings, member comments and map positions may be incomplete or out of date. Approximate map pins are not directions to a confirmed meeting place.

Publication, moderation, ratings and labels such as “Verified” or “Featured” do not certify a person’s identity, a venue’s safety, licensing or a game’s legality. Labels may reflect an account or historical listing-package status. PokerDIY does not provide legal, financial or gambling advice.

Play within your means. Do not use the site to arrange unlawful gambling, target minors or encourage harmful gambling behaviour.

4. Acceptable use

Use the site respectfully and lawfully. You must not:

  • Post scams, misleading listings, unlawful offers, spam or deceptive reviews.
  • Threaten, harass or discriminate against others, or publish their private information without permission.
  • Upload material that infringes copyright or other rights, contains malware, or exploits children.
  • Bypass access controls, misuse sign-in codes, scrape member contact details, or send unsolicited bulk messages.
  • Disrupt the service, evade a suspension, or use automated access in a way that harms the site or its users.

You may share links to public pages. Access to a record or contact detail does not give you permission to republish it or use it for unrelated marketing.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it, including permission for photographs and personal information about other people.

You give PokerDIY a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, format and display your content, and to provide it to service providers as needed to run the site. Public content may appear in searches and shared links. This permission is limited to operating, maintaining and protecting PokerDIY; it does not transfer ownership of your content.

When content is removed, we stop displaying it where reasonably practicable. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, records needed for a dispute or legal obligation, and third-party caches. Request removal or correction through the process in our Privacy Policy.

The site also includes migrated WordPress content. Its age or continued availability does not imply that its author has recently confirmed it or accepted a new marketing purpose.

6. Moderation and account restrictions

Some submissions need approval; others may publish immediately. We do not review every item before it appears. You can report a listing using its report form or contact us about other content.

We may edit, restrict or remove content, or suspend access, where reasonably needed to address a breach of these terms, unlawful activity, inaccurate listings, security risks or harm to users. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to ask for a review. Urgent safety, security or legal concerns may require action first.

A suspension does not automatically erase all past posts, messages or records. Removal and privacy requests are handled separately. We do not promise a particular moderation response time.

7. Prices and historical purchases

The current app does not accept new package purchases, process poker buy-ins or collect recurring subscription payments. Any prices displayed in a game listing describe the host’s arrangements, not money payable to PokerDIY through this app.

Signed-in members may see historical order records and existing package entitlements migrated from the former site. Showing those records does not create a new charge or change any rights arising from the original purchase. Contact us about an incorrect record.

8. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what other members can see, the migration of historical records and how to request access, correction or deletion.

Listing contact details and full addresses can be visible to any signed-in member. Only enter information you are comfortable sharing with that audience. Public descriptions, photos and comments can be seen without an account.

We may send sign-in codes and messages needed to manage your account or listings. These terms do not grant consent to unrelated marketing; newsletter preferences are managed separately.

9. Availability and responsibility

As an individually run hobby site, PokerDIY may have downtime, errors or interruptions. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every listing or member contribution is accurate. Keep your own copy of important information and confirm arrangements directly with a host.

Members and external sites are responsible for their own games, statements and services. A link does not mean we endorse the destination. We remain responsible for our own conduct to the extent required by law.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. These terms do not require you to waive claims for our negligence or other liability that the law preserves.

10. Changes and stopping use

We may update these terms when the service or relevant requirements change. Updated terms will show their effective date. For a material change affecting member use, we will provide reasonable notice through the site or an account email where practicable; urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner.

Changes apply going forward and do not remove rights that have already arisen. If you do not agree with updated terms, stop using the affected features and contact us about closing your account. Account closure does not automatically erase every historical record; the Privacy Policy explains requests and possible retention.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Subject to any mandatory rights you have elsewhere, you and the operator may bring disputes in the courts of New South Wales. This is a non-exclusive jurisdiction clause and does not take away a lawful right to use another court or complaints process.

Please contact the operator first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. This does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief or exercising a legal right.

12. Contact

Contact the individual who operates PokerDIY at pokerdiy@gmail.com.
