I'm laughing my head off at you guys because when someone screws me, guess what? I screw them back 20x over. I won a huge tournament on Sportsbook.com , over 17K . I decided to cash out 5K immediately. Guess what? Same story as others, took forever to get it withdrawn then processed then some other bullshit. And I did get the checks, and they bounced after waiting 2 months for the check. So I decided to withdraw more....to no avail. I spent hours on the phone, I'd call them up all the time and tell them I want to shut down my account and then I told them the ONE THING they did not want to hear. I told them, Dont you worry people, Anthony is going to get his money back . Don't you worry, I'll be calling my credit card company. And guess what? In about a month, I ended up getting all my money. But guess what else I did, I called up my credit card company, had them go back 12 months to every single deposit I ever made with those guys and exaplained how it was fraudulent charges. The credit card company refunded me every penny I ever deposited, and not only did Sportsbook.com not get one penny from me, I got it from them. Advertising is a difficult beast - It is important the poker players and poker product companies have a means of promoting their product. I think RakeRepair.com has hit on something here - instead of trying to prevent it - you just channel it better. I've made a note to look into this in the future - maybe a DIGG style interface where the important blogs bubble up and the less-so ones stay at the bottom - so you see the blogs that people are enjoying the most... I agree with DavidR 100% although I am guilty of making an ad blog post myself and will probably make more. When others are doing it I feel I need to do the same being a paying sponsor. I think there should be a seperate section of the blogs for posts like this. They should not fall under the "feature blogs" A designated section will allow people to continue to post whatever they want for ads and people that want to see it will check it out. People who do not want to see it will not have to. I would love to post about my own poker playing and not have to feel the need to slam in some form of advertisement and then simply go to the ad-allowed section to post whatever promotion. I think this would be a great cure-all to keep everyone happy. JMHO....

Rod, For the Ohio laws you should also mention that no money may be taken from the money that is risked (gambled) by those playing. This means no seat fee, no house fee and also no money for food. Any money for food should be donated seperately from the money being used in the game. All money risked must be able to be won by any of those risking the money.

I think that not moderating the blogs is the correct thing to do. Blogs are meant to be a way for a person to tell their story or just speak about somethign they wish to. Forums offer the ability to discuss issues and thoughs whereas blogs are more of a statement (though commenting is permitted and probably encouraged). The one change you might make would be for people basically spamming or trying to do something commercial. If someone creates a BLOG that is more of an advertisement I think it should be blocked or removed and the original poster notified.

Good points RakeRepair.com - I think if this was public knowledge (or existed) - then online poker community trust and confidence would crumble... this could be good for home poker games of course ;) I personally dislike cheating and play for the fun of the poker game. Of course, making money is one everyone's agenda but it's the same reason I don't steal from a till or shop, even though I could - I go about it honestly...

As a poker room affiliate I am confident that no such software exists. Poker rooms are on top of their programs, I find it impossible to believe anything like this can fly under their radar. Especially after the big Absolute Poker scandal. Absolute lost a lot of customers and all their integrity and have had to do everything in their power to restore it. No site wants to go through something like that. If this program really worked/existed wouldn't the creator keep it to themselves?? hmmmm.... Honestly, who wants to be a cheater or a scam artist? I find both to be disgraceful particularly in the poker world we know and love.
