Make sense of a hand
Choose your game, then add each player’s known cards and any community cards. Leave a slot blank for an unknown card. Select Calculate equity to compare the players, or load an example to get started.
All players shown are assumed to reach showdown. Unknown cards are dealt from the remaining deck with equal probability. The calculator does not model hand ranges, folding, betting or side pots.
What does equity mean?
Equity is a player’s average share of the pot across the possible remaining deals. A tie divides the pot between the tied players. In Hi-Lo games, a qualifying low hand can take half the pot.
When there are too many possible deals to check individually, the calculator samples them. These results are estimates; the results panel shows the sample count and sampling margin.
A few useful details
Which cards count in Omaha?
An Omaha hand always uses exactly two of your four hole cards and three of the five community cards. Hold’em can use zero, one or two hole cards. Stud and Razz use five of each player’s seven cards, with no shared board.
How do Hi-Lo and Razz differ?
Omaha Hi-Lo and Stud Hi-Lo split the pot between the best high hand and the best qualifying low. A low needs five different ranks, all eight or lower; aces are low and straights and flushes do not count against it. If no low qualifies, the high hand takes the whole pot. Razz awards the whole pot to the lowest hand, with no eight-or-better requirement.
Can I use this without an account?
Yes. The calculator is free and runs on your device. Your selected cards are not sent to a calculation service or saved when you leave. Use it to explore hands and study between games.
