I hate when that happens after typing a long post and then you lose it. Poker can be pretty tough at times when it sends you on a losing streak. You make a good point of not playing in higher stakes to try and make up your losses. Finding what works and sticking to it is a better way to go about it at the poker tables. Not even a hint as to what you are keeping under wraps?

This is absolutely crazy! Especially for a poker site that used to be #1. Why they want to do something like this to alienate poker players is beyond me. I don't blame you for wanting to end it with them. I can understand them wanting to remove inactive accounts, but after 180 days they should just give you a little reminder that you haven't played there in awhile. It's not like you take up too much space on their computer. I think poker rooms should have the same rules as banks. I think it's 10 years of inactivity at banks if I'm correct, although that may be different depending on which country you're from.

There was a dealer that played on the machines at the excalibur. Here's an article about it... A Las Vegas poker dealer, who for obvious reasons did not want to give his name, had conflicting reactions while trying out the new electronic poker tables at the Excalibur. As a dealer, he hated the 10-player tables which are fully automated and do not require cards, chips or a dealer. In other words, one less casino job. As a poker player participating in a low-limit cash game, though, he found the tables easy to maneuver and faster than live games. "I played on these tables before on a cruise ship," the dealer commented. "They are very advantageous for the player. There are never any misdeals. I think we'll see a lot more of these games." It is so hard to read, and actually quite annoying, when there isn't any paragraph breaks. The enter key is you best friend and will make your readers happy. When everything is bunched together it just doesn't really make me want to read it and it actually might be something worth reading ;-)

Pocket aces do look good when you get them, but they can and do lose. Just like you can win with 2 7 or 2 T like Doyle Brunson won with twice. In the WSOP main event AA was beat twice in the final hand. Of course I'll take AA as a starting hand any day and take my chances of possibly losing with them.

Not having to leave a tip for the dealers anymore is something many have said they liked about the idea. It is good if you get to go home with more money in your pocket, but removing all traditional poker tables and going to all electronic doesn't even give anyone a choice if they want to play on live tables or electronic ones. If you want to play poker at the Excalibur you can only play on electronic poker tables. If the regulars don't like it, they can go play poker elsewhere.

How long have you been playing poker? If you're just starting out, I would just play in freerolls until you get a little better before starting to use your own money. There are some video tutorials in the video section here on PokerDIY if you want to check them out.

I've had a few occasions that the site was lagging when I was posting in the forum. It was coming and going, but seems ok now. Maybe that was on my end though considering you have a dedicated server. A dedicated server will definitely make for a better user experience. I'm new here so I'm still looking around checking things out. I like what I see so far. PokerDIY is a very well put together site and has a lot of different areas for the users to take advantage of.
