Find live poker games near you

Find in-person poker games by location and venue, compare the format and schedule, and contact the host before travelling.

A live poker game brings players to the same physical table. Finding one starts with a location, but choosing a suitable game also means checking the venue, format and next session.

  1. Open the live poker game finder and enter your city, state or postcode. Add the country if the place name could refer to more than one location, then choose the matching suggestion.
  2. Select a distance you can travel. A nearby search uses that radius; browsing a whole country or state covers a wider area.
  3. Choose a game type and venue if you have a preference. Keep the filters broad for your first search, then narrow the results.
  4. Read the listing itself. Check that it describes a game to join, rather than a player looking for a group or a dealer offering a service.

If there are few results, try a wider distance or a different venue. Read any notice about a widened search or relaxed filters so you know which results match your original choices.

Choose the kind of table you want

Home poker games are hosted in a private setting. Start with our home-game guide for questions to ask before joining. For a game at a pub, bar or club, browse pub and club poker listings and read the pub poker guide.

Venue and game format are separate choices. A listing may describe a cash game, tournament or league; ask the organiser how the session works and what you would need to pay.

Compare details before making contact

  • Format: which poker variant is played, and whether the session is a cash game or tournament.
  • Cost: the buy-in, blinds, fees and any rebuys or other payments.
  • Timing: the next date, arrival time, start time and expected finish.
  • Joining: whether beginners or new players are welcome and how registration works.

Confirm the next game with the host

A listing describes an advertised game; it does not guarantee a current session or an available seat. Contact the host through the listing and ask whether the game is still running, whether a place is available and where to meet. Confirm the details before setting out.

A useful first message: “Hi, I found your listing on PokerDIY. Is the next game still running, and are you accepting new players? Could you confirm the format, total buy-in and arrival time?”

Once the host confirms your place, use our first live poker game checklist to prepare.
